The goal of this assignment is to analyze a store’s layout and explain why it works. Forever 21 has a unique layout, at my location’s entrance they display more street style clothing on the right side, then their contemporary line on the left. As you make your way to the back of the store, you will pass athletic wear and their “basics” collection. Set-ups like these are great because it gets the customer to travel through a majority of the store, which will likely result in a product catching their eye. If they had only walked in for a simple t-shirt from the basics collection, they might end up purchasing more than that.
Also, they display cheaper denim on shelves in at least two spots in the store. This will trigger the customer’s mind making them think, “I need jeans and these are cheap anyway.” Strategies like these prove to be successful, especially with a layout like in Forever 21.
Course 4 – Your Audience
The goal of this assignment was to obtain data from where online viewers are coming from and to and analyze the stats. It was SO interesting to see that I have viewers from a multitude of countries (even if it was only one person; that is still so cool!) This assignment is ideal for business owners (or anyone trying to market themselves) to see where most traffic is coming from. This helps in creating a target market, which is more likely to engage with your content, then pursue business with your company.
Product Costs Assignment:
This assignment enabled me to calculate production costs of an accessory from a previous assignment. For the it I created a green choker (titled ‘Prickly Pear’) out of a paint swatch. For the sake of the assignment, I made the price of the individual paint swatch $1.00 (although it was free!) Listed below are calculations that are necessary for all business owners. It demonstrates how one can make a profit while lowering production costs and selling more products.
When it’s kinda windy but also kinda warm, you gotta do a LITTLE bit of layering! I put together a black cuordoruy jacket from f21, black t-shirt from h&m, Pacsun girlfriend jeans, and of course Adidas’s Stan Smith sneaker.
Decided that once again I was just dreaming of bumping into you..
Ootd consists of some super relaxed pieces. I’m wearing a super comfy knit sweater/H&M, a black cordoruoy Sherpa jacket/F21, jeans (ripped ONLY at the knees of course), AND kicking it in Old Skool Vans (with some whale socks 🐋.)
Ok ok. Can we just talk about how a bomber jacket can tie together nearly ANY look. I’m wearing the funkiest pants right now, yet my outfit is still lookin’ cool (also thanks to adidas’ Stan Smith sneakers.) If you don’t own a bomber, invest in one IMMEDIATELY.. (oh, and the sneakers too.)
Breaking out the bomber that I got on sale from f21 (actually from the men’s side!!!! That did NOT STOP ME.)
